dyno time !

The Falken / Discount IS350 was put on a chassis dyno
at MD Motorsports in Westminster. We used their DynoJet
and Nathan from Motec came to fine tune the car.

What was our horsepower ?

That's a secret !

Today . . . . . .

I ate this JDM snack.
It's called "Caprico" and I bought the 5 pack version,
so it comes with chocolate and strawberry flavors.

And I picked up the new wing from APR Performance.
It is the GTC300 series with mid-high mounts. This
should give us more downforce and look much more
proportional compared to the smaller wing I had before.

Almost ready for Seattle !!!

today's dessert is. . . .

This !
Do you know what it is ?
It's JDM. but kind of a cheaper JDM.

I was watching the JDM TV program
"Suiyou Doudeshou?" (How about Wednesday?).
I think it's the dumbest Japanese TV show ever . . .
but it's pretty funny.

Anyways, the dessert is -------------
A coffee jelly with milk topping !!
Very good ! Oishii yo~!!!

Last Weekend (Part 2)

Ok, this is the last blog series of things happened
while my laptop was broken.I went to the Drift Day
at Camarillo Airport. It was the first time that I
went there since Drift Day had moved there from
the previous location. Taka drove his 1JZ cressida
wagon, Yoshie drove the white Drift 102 corolla gt-s,
and I drove my red IS300. We must've been like a
French flag while we drove together on the freeway !

Camarillo airport still have a few air force air crafts
and it was pretty cool to be able to look at these very
close !

Here are some of the participants and the Drift Day's
Drift 101 rental vehicles !!

This airport is still active for smaller airplanes and
every few minutes, these planes land right next to
our drift courses. So cool !!!

Last weekend (Part 1)

Last weekend was kind of an eventful weekend.
I was invited to a friends place for a Nabe dinner.
Yes, the food was great but the surprise part of
the evening was how much the little girl (Yuma-chan)
loved to ride the toy-horse. She can get up and down
that big horsie by herself ! Pretty amazing what a little
kid can do. I guess parenting is a tough task because
you never know where your little kid will go !!

Next day we had a little BBQ at my house to celebrate
Yoshi~'s win at Formula D Las Vegas. Yoshi~ got a
free chiropractic session from Taka as his winning prize!
The weather was great and food tasted great (especially
the shiitake mushrooms!), but I bought too much Gal-Bi !
Today's guests were more of a drinker than beef eater,
so Taka and I were the only ones eating lots of meat...
Since then I've been eating Gal-bi every meal, every day !!!
No more beef !!!!! (Yet so much left still . . . . . )

little more of what happened while by laptop was broken . . . . .(part 2)

Last week I went to Gardena to say hello to
my local sponsors. I visited Phiten shop and Lot USA.
I will be adding their shops to our"Favorite SHOPs"
section soon. Maybe tonight...
Phiten provides all of Team Driftpro with products
that helps us perform better physically. They have
necklaces, bracelets, shorts, pants, socks, cosmetics,
water, . . . . . a lot of products. Make sure you stop by
their shop if you are around Torrance because it's
right behind the Mitsuwa market.

Lot USA is the exclusive distributor of the holding
monster BRIDE racing seats. I use the FIA approved
ZETA III in my Chaser and it fits my skinny JDM body
well. Lot USA also have many other JDM brands, so
check out their website ! Shinnosuke is the staff at
Lot USA and he has a nice VW with full BRIDE interior !!

A little more progress on my cressida 1JZ swap project...
The OS Giken Super Single clutch was installed and
both the tranny and the engine is now back in the car.
The driveshaft worked out pretty easy as I swapped the
center bearing piece from the cressida on the the first
section piece of the JZX90 drive shaft.  That was cool !
