New Year's Day in Tokyo

It is New Year's Day here in Japan !
And we just at the traditional "Oshougatsu" (New Year's) food,
"Osechi Ryouri".
And a little sake and the "Ozouni" soup.
I was a little sleepy because we went to a local shrine temple
to greet the new year day around 12:30 am this morning.

Hope this year will be great for everyone !!!

I thought about you being in Japan last night while attending Church. My pastor is from Australia and they are in "tomorrow" just like Japan. He was already getting New Years text messages. Pretty cool.

^_~

Southern tradition for new years day is to eat blackeyed peas and collard greens. Peas for health (i think) and greens for money!

Oh yeah, and what kind of drink is that in the clear bottle?

It kind of looks like Goldschläger.

I am not much on sake either but I love umeshu or sake and umeshu together mixed and warm. ^_~. Good for the winter time!
