Today @ Technosquare...

Team Tanaka Racing Vet!!...
Today, our great customer and friend, Dwight, came w/ some parts for the car!



Bumper was ON!! Freshly came from Sam's Autoland @ Gardena, CA



Bling Bling Polished suspension arms were installed!! Yes, I am not good @ taking pix!!

watched Formula 1 and more wrenching today...

I watched the Formula 1 last night . . . . . . Incredible !!
Brawn Mercedes got 1st, 2nd finish. And the careless battle

of Vettel and Kubica made the ending exciting for me (^^)/

The day for the engine to land on the car has finally come !

and I modified the stock tranny mount so bolts
would screw in...
The diff and the axles are in...
Almost everything went pretty smooth today,
but one of the bolt hole to hold up the prop
shaft is stripped !! Can't believe it . . . .

engine & tranny engaged... and F1 has begun !

Finally I was able to put down the engine on the
ground and attach the tranny !

Maybe I can finally get this thing in the car tomorrow !
Just finished watching the Formula 1 season opener at
Australia. That was another crazy finish...
Time for a sumo match between Vettel and Kubica !!
Congrats to J.Button and Barrichelo!!!
That post-Honda team, Brawn Mercedes is amazing fast.
It's gonna be an exciting F1 season.

OS Giken with ARP !!!

Since Yoshie was posting her blog about OS Giken, I will also
introduce more OS Giken stuff. The pumpkin for my Cressida
is ready with the new OS Giken Super Lock Spec X LSD !

OS Giken Twin plate clutch with ARP bolts !
This clutch looks just like OS Giken's cell phone strap
that I had a while ago.

Guess what this is . . . . .
The ARP flywheel bolts was too long for my application !
I must've ordered the wrong bolts... so, I had to cut each
of them slightly. I felt bad sawing into the brand new
ARP bolts, but oh well...

Every single process takes so much time when you
work on the car alone. After a full day, I feel like I
did a lot, but there's so much more to do !!

Today @ Technosquare...

So, today...Howard was installing my OS Giken LSD into the diff case! Thank you so much as always!!

On the other hand...Richey was finishing up the cage...

In the beginning...the car looked soooo empty.



Tadaaaaa! Today...it was 95%+ done at this moment.

This car just came from body shop, SAM'S AUTO LAND (located in Gardena, CA).
They fixed & painted my ex-beat-up S14, too. As well as many of Drift Alliance cars.

Installed on the engine.

The car is coming along.... slowly.... but surely.

Megan Racing a reclining bucket seat & bracket were installed. I keep the cover until it would get used!! hahaha


All the suspension thingys were installed.

After all these were installed...it was dark!!
Still a bumper was not on...hahaha


Next day...went junk yardS and picked up some parts...

Of course, fenders, front bumper, and hood were can sprayed!! hehehe
Not bad at all for far away. ;)

Now, I need a bumper spoiler!! But O well, no budget for it. So sad. :(

DriftDay Drift 101 & Drift 102 at WSIR Balcony !

This weekend I went up to the Willow Springs Int'l Raceway
to teach drifting for DriftDay's Drift101/102 class.

Since it was a private group lesson, the students brought
a whole gang and they even setup a bbq lunch for all of us.
Thanks a lot for the great food !!!
Here's our top student of the day Ed trying out the
101 car. Two dudes on the ground is the Drift 101
instructor Mark and DriftDay staff Tom.
While we were smoking up the tires at the Balcony track,
Porsche racing was happening at the Big track. It's so cool
to see so many Porsches running together at once !!
On the way back home, I stopped by Dai's place in Pasadena.
And that's Dai's roommate RJ's doggie.
So cute !! but feisty one (^^)/

OS Giken Twin Plate clutch & Super Lock LSD Spec X

The brand new OS Giken parts from Japan has finally arrived...
It's the twin plate clutch and the drift spec LSD !!!

Brand new clutch is sooooooo nice (^ ^)/.
If I had an extra one, I'd hang it on my wall !!
Someone's new ride for this year....., but not me.
The flat black color is pretty cool !

Our mechanic, Howard, was installing the ring & pinion & Kaaz LSD....

Bearing was installed...

Our fabricator, Richey, was working on the cage.

O, our customer and friend, FX 35 owner, Viet won the car show!! Congrats!!
He said he would show me some pix later. hehe
I guess, Viet & his friend, Martin were posing inside...but O well...
