Checking 24 hours of lemons event (w/ Japanses Translation)

So...me, myself, and I went to check 24 hours of lemon event last Sat. @ Buttonwillow.
で。。。先週の土曜日、ボタンウィローのサーキットに２４アワーズ・オブ・レモンズと言う耐久レースを見に一人で行ってきました。




There were about 170+ cars registered for the event...and it was totally different style of endurance race than what I expected. haha
何か、１７０台以上の車がエントリーしててそれだけでびっくりだったんだけど、この耐久レースってば普通のとはちょっと違ってたんだよねぇ。

There were several girl racers in this event...and Annie & Sarah were some of them. Go Girls!!
このイベントで何人か女性のドライバーがいたんだけど・・・アニーとサラはそのうちの２人でした。頑張れ～～～、ウーマンパワー♪

Annie is a rare person, who really works on the car & drives. I mean...for real.
アニーはほんとに珍しい、車の作業も運転も出来る女性です。メカニックとしてもイケてるくらい。






This was Annie's team, 1UP's ride. Super Mario was their theme. Cute isn't it?
Unfortunately, it was raining in the morning, so the star and whatever the flower thingy became a bit dirty while they were racing.
この車がアニーのチーム、１アップの車。テーマはスーパーマリオ。なかなかかわいいよね？
残念ながらこの日の朝雨が降ってたので屋根の上に付いてる星とトランクの上の植木鉢がまーまー汚れちゃってました。




Anywayz, there were several funny cars caught my eyes.
とり合えず、何か私の目を引いた面白い車も何台か発見。

It was 240sx (s13)...and I guess rear part was cut & pasted. BTW, between this car's tail lights, it had a sticker saying "POORVETTE". I agree.
ぅっそー、240ｓｘ（１８０の2.4Lバーヂョン）ぢゃんか。リアの部分ごっそりと切った貼ったされちゃったらしい。因みに、テールライトの間のステッカーには”かわいそーなベットちゃん”って書いてありました。確かに。





haha this car was one of the clean & funny one.
この車結構綺麗で面白かったヤツ。

なんだか良くわかんなかったけど、追っかけて写真取ってみた。





This car had a lot of things everywhere...but what was the theme???
何か変なものいっぱい付けててなんだろうって感じ。





I guess this event is fun from kids to adults...Doves/pigeon on the helmet.
結構子供からお年寄りまで楽しめるイベントだって事だよねぇ。ハトがヘルメットに付いてた。何でハト？





While the racing, this cute car was on the trailer...I guess it was already broken?!?!
レースの真っ只中、このかわいらしい車はぽつんとトレーラーの上に乗っかってました。既に壊れちゃってたのかなぁ？？




OMG, horse & horseback rider (?) thingys were on the roof. It didn't flew off for all day long, so I guess it was good.
これ・・・屋根の上に、馬と馬に乗ったマネキンがどーんと付いてた。てか、これは風の抵抗すげーだろうなぁ・・・これもアリかい・・・と、びっくり。でも、さすがに落ちなかったから凄い。（笑）




Limo with bride upside down...and when this car was out from the track, it smelled like burning.
リムジンサイズ･･･なんか花嫁がひっくり返ってってな感じだったんだけど・・・途中でピットに戻る時、燃えてる（焦げてる）臭いがしてたのは気のせい？！？！

These time involving events are kinda boring to watch if you don't have someone to cheer up...but it was fun to watch...
こーゆー時間を計ったりするイベントって知り合いがいなかったら結構見ててもつまらないもんだと思うんだけど、これはそんな事なく結構楽しめたかも。



And I am not sure if I could ever manage driving straight for about 2-hour, but I want to join driving...someday!
２時間とかぶっ続けで走れるかどーかはかなりの謎だけど、ちょっと走ってみたいかもと思いました。

Car life @ Thanksgiving Weekend, Brake Testing, Wheels and such (w/ Japanese Translation)

So...Taka & me like to go junk yards...especially holidays. Some of the junk yards have 50% off thingy on holidays...and of course, Thanksgiving week...we went a couple different junk yards.
で。。。たかさんと私は結構ジャンク･ヤード（解体屋）が好き。特に、祝日とか・・・場所によっては５０％オフとかになったりする。もちろん、サンクスギビングのお休みの時にも何ヶ所か行ってきました。




One of the junk yards, not having 50% off...however, we found rare AE86!!!
今回行った中でも５０％オフではないところもあったんだけど・・・ハチロク発見！！！
最近ではこーゆーところで見つかるのは超レアだったりする。






There were some other people already taking apart this car, but we got rear end...it was with stock LSD which was still working.
既に先客がいたんだけど、うちらはリアエンドをごっそりとお持ち帰りしました。純正のLSDも入ってたりして・・・しかも、効いてたりして・・・。



And we got other parts from 50% off places...and installed/replaced them.
他の50%オフのところからもちょこちょこパーツをお持ち帰りして作業完了。



Taka & me planned to go Street of Willow on Thanksgiving weekend.
Me for Brake kit testing for Megan Racing & Taka for AE86 time attack thingy.
たかさんはハチロクでタイムアタック、私はメーガンレーシングのブレーキのテストの為にサンクスギビングの週末にストリート・オブ・ウィロー（サーキット）に行ってきました。




It was really freezing day...like windy with 36-44 degree all day long...
ありえないほど激寒な日で、風もまーまー強く多分、外気温2～6度、体感温度氷点下と言った感じ？






BTW, it was snowing in the morning...not a lot, tho.
因みに、朝なんてものすごくぱらぱらだけど雪まで降っちゃったりして・・・。










So...I ran back in the car...and look pic. again.
余りにも寒いもんだから、車の中に逃げ込んでまた雪の写真を取ってみた。







We took 2-car trailer this time.
今回は2台引きのトレーラーで車を運んできました。






Hmmmm, nice to see both cars running again.
良いねー♪またこの車たちが走れるの見れて・・・。





And...I finally installed my new wheels to my car, XXR 552!

O, I ran a few sessions with my car...with street tires. And I got brand new whatever the cheapest brake pads on the rear...I was kinda worried about front might rock up and such even though big rotors in the rear were installed, but it turned out...
で、街乗りタイヤで何回かセッションを走らせて貰ったんだけ ど・・・。因みに、リアのブレーキパッド新品なんだけど、わけのわからんブランドの一番安いヤツ。だから、まぁ・・・リアのローターは巨大化してるけど、 フロントがロックアップしたらどーしよぅとか思ってたんだけど・・・それが、



Pretty nice @ balance on the front & rear!! I want to try with drift pads on the rear how that would change.
結構良い感じ・・・バランス全然悪くなかった！次回はドリフトバッド入れて試してみたいかなぁ。




Taka drove my car, too...and he liked the combination, too. He just wanted to try with racing tires.
たかさんも私の車運転してみたんだけど、前後のコンビネーション全然悪くないねーって結構気に入ってた。次回はレースタイヤで走ってみたいらしい。（笑）

There were a couple of incidences @ Street...1 flipped and 1 jumped pretty high like I did 2 years ago. Man, it was really scary moment!
その日トラックで2台ほど事故がありました。1台はひっくり返ってもう1台はジャンプしてた。私も2年前に同じところでジャンプしちゃったんだけど、超怖 かった。（涙）



Also, Charlie @ Just Drift was having the charity events @ Balcony...
I visited there...and let me drive! Thank you very much, Charlie!!
それから、ジャスト･ドリフトのチャーリーがバルコニーでチャリティー系のドリフトイベントをやってたので、こっそり寄ってみたら走らせてくれました！！チャーリーありがと～～～♪



I haven't drifted my car since it was not drivable almost 1 year with new turbo set up, I was like...how do I suppose to drift??
ここ1年くらい車が走行不能状態だったしニューターボって事で。。。あれ？どーやって走るんだっけ？？って感じでした。





Again, Larry was taking the pix over there...and wrote on his blog post, MISSILE CAR PARTY.
再度、ラリーがドリフトの方でも写真を取ってました。で・・・ミサイル・カー・パーティーってタイトルでブログを書いてたんだけど・・・。



He commented on the blog as "Yoshie Shuyama was driving a time attack at the road course, but she could not resist coming to "Balcony Version 3" to do some missiling of her own."
ブログに私の事も書いてくれてました。。。「よしえはロードコースでタイム・アタックをしてたけど、「バルコニーバージョン3」のミサイルアタックをしないと気が済まなかったらしい。。。」みたいな感じかなぁ？

I felt...like "Was it too wide?!?!"...and too late, BANG!! O well.
At least, I didn't lose my tail light which was only hanging with 1 stud.

何か走ってた時に、「あれ？ちょっと外過ぎか？？」って思ったら「ゴンッ」ってなっちゃった。あちゃー。
まぁ、リアのライト、ネジ1本だけで留まってたんだけど落とさなかったから良しとしよう。

Yoshie's S14 updates & Another Drift School Student (w/ Japanese Translation)

Again...belated post that happened last month...
また・・・ラグってしまった・・・先月のお話。（汗）


Again, we had another Drift School student...OMG, that day was windy and freezing!!
またまた、ドリフトクラスの生徒さんです。この日はめっちゃ風が強くて超さむかった！！






As always...my pic came out horrible. It came out so dark!
Stephen R. graduated more than satisfactory level
毎度の事ながら・・・相変わらずひどいピクになってしまった。どーしてこんなに暗くなっちゃったんだろう？？ステファンR君。上手かったよ・・・ノリノリで楽勝で卒業しちゃいました。




He was amazing...and I think he got addicted to drifting. So he might get drift car and start competing?!?!
ビデオ見たらわかるけど、車をセットさせるのが上手い。てか、ドリフトかなり気に入っちゃったらしい。何か、ドリ車手に入れて、コンペとかに出る～ってゆってた。頑張れ～～～♪


He took 2-day Drift 101 & 102 combo.

Anywayz, from last update on my car...I had several things to do to make my car run right.
んで、この前のアップデートからちゃんと車を走らせるのにしなきゃいけない事がいくつかあったんだけど・・・。

Soldering the wires...one of the things that I don't get dirty working one the car...so I like it.
配線ハンダ付け。作業の中でも汚れない部類なので結構好き♪



My car went to Technosquare a couple of days later for tuning...
数日後、テクノスクエアに行ってこの前のダイノの続きをしてきました。






After 3-4 years of using same spark plugs, finally got kinda expensive ones.
ここ3-4年くらいスパークプラグを変えた記憶がなかったんだけど、やっとまーまー高いヤツを購入。





Haven't worked on my car for a while...so I was like...hmm? which size do I need??
何か長い事作業なんてしてなかったもんだから、あれ？？サイズなんだっけ？って感じでした。





I screwed up a lot of bolts head and such, so making sure the tool gets into the right place.
何かネジとかなめちゃった事がいっぱいあったから、しっかりと奥まで差し込んでます。





Yes, yes...I look so slow using the tools...
はいはい、作業に100万年掛かりそうな雰囲気。。。




I guess, I didn't look fun working on my car...and was told to smile. HAHAHA whatever.
どーも顔がマヂになってたよーで、「にこっ」として作業しろとの忠告が。んな、笑わすな～～！（笑）






Checking the gap...seemed like OK range. I have biggow forehead...or getting bold??
プラグのギャップ、チェックちう。OKな範囲内でした。てか、でこ広いっちゅーねん。。。それか、ハゲ上がってきてるぅ？？（涙）

Then, my car was on the Dyno...and blah blah blah.
その後、またダイノに乗せて・・・うんたらかんたら。




I guess...my turbo that was installed didn't make any difference from the original one...
So, decided to exchange the turbo to smaller one.
先回入れてたターボ、昔のと殆ど何も変わらずでした。で、ちーさいのと交換しようとして・・・。





While taking off the turbo...we found crap inside of...
ターボを外したらぁ・・・こんなモノが中から出てきました。（大汗）






I didn't do it!!!
あたしぢゃないからぁ！！！






Anyway, tuning was done.
まぁまぁ、チューニングは終わりました。




So, finally my car had became ready to have testing for Megan Racing Brake kit for my S14 @ Willow Spring Raceway happened Thanksgiving weekend.
これでやっとメーガンレーシングのS14用のブレーキキットのテストが出来るようになったって訳ね。
ウィロー・スプリングスのサーキットでサンクスギビングの週末にテストです♪

Belated Megan Racing Booth @ SEMA Show (w/ Japanese Translation)

So...taka & me went to SEMA show again this year. Taka's competition AE86 was displayed @ Megan Racing Booth, so most of the time, we stayed there. And, all the pix I took were Megan Racing Booth thingy. haha
で。。。たかさんと私は今年もSEMAショーに行っちゃいました。たかさんのコンペハチロクが今年のスポンサーのメーガン･レーシングのブースに展示されてたので、殆どそこでうろうろしてたから・・・写真もメーガンレーシングのモノばっかになってしまった。（笑）





Taka's car was most visible place (I think), and Magan Racing made biggow posters above.
That was Calvin's (Owner of Megan Racing) idea to display the cars like that.
たかさんの車一番お客さんに目に付く場所（あくまでも個人の主観ですが。）に置いてもらえてました。しかも、でけーポスターが上のほうに。。。メーガンレーシングのオーナーのカルビンが車の配置とか考えてくれたようです。






A lot of people took pictures of Taka's rear bumper scratch...and LED equipped Red G Wheels!
たくさんの人が・・・たかさんのリアバンパーの傷の写真を取ってってました。350ｚに付いてるホイールはもうすぐ一般販売もされる（はず）レッドGホイールです。シンプルだけどなかなかイイ感じ。LEDも付いてキラキラ。





From other side...A lot of people loved V-LEDS products!
ブースの反対側。このLEDはV-LEDSの商品で、結構注目を浴びてました。





LEDs don't eat power too much, the lights connected to the car battery and worked for all day long. (At night, we recharged the battery.)
LEDってあんましパワーを食わないので一日中車のバッテリーに直結しても死ななかった。（夜は念のためバッテリーチャージしてたけどね。）

I tried so hard to take the cars without people...and Danny from Megan Racing somehow always got in the pix...O well. He looks so tired. hahaha
人がいっぱいいたのでなかなか車だけで写真とるタイミングがなかったんだけど・・・なーんか、メーガンレーシングの従業員のダニー君、私の取ろうとしてるタイミングにひょこひょこと入ってくる・・・。（汗）
でも、お疲れのよーだ。



Actually, Calvin took us nice dinner every night...and all of us gainned weight.

でもね、カルビンが毎晩豪華な晩御飯に連れて行ってくれたのだぁ♪♪♪

Anywayz, without Megan Racing help this year, Taka couldn't survive...so Thank you so very much for supporting Taka...and hopefully we can keep the great relationship for a long time!
とにかく、今年メーガンレーシングがたかさんのサポートをしてくれなかったらイベントに行く事が出来なかったので本当に助かりました。ありがと～～～♪今後も長いお付き合いが出来たら良いなぁと思ってます。

Another Drift School Students: Drift 102 & Miss Formula D 2010 (w/ Japanese Translation)

So...We had other Drift School students. 2 students this time for Drift 101 & Drift 102.
で・・・またまたドリフト教室の生徒さんのお話。今回はドリフト101と102を取ってくれた２人です。






Marco from Brazil, he took 4-day lesson. Since I kinda sucky to take pix and videos, the starting view is missing...but that's Yoshie...and I am sorry. He initiated with 3rd gear and such. He is planning to compete in Brazil when they get some series events.
マルコはブラジルから来てくれました。彼はブラジルでプロレベルのドリフトコンペが出来た時の為にとクラスを取ってくれたようです。でもまぢで上手かった。ビデオ最初の加速してる部分ミスってるけど、まぁ・・・下手くそなのは毎度のことなので許してやってください。（笑）３速進入にも挑戦。







Frosty, he is a stuntman. Because of the job he involves, he was pretty busy in scheduling...and somehow managed to take days off to take our classes. He got some injury/surgery 8 weeks ago on his arm from the job but he was doing great so that we didn't know until he told us about that.
フロスティーはスタントマンをやっているそうです。仕事柄結構忙しくなかなかスケジュールに都合が付かないらしいんだけど何とかお休みを調整して受講してくれました。クラスが終わった後に聞いたんだけど、仕事で８週間くらい前に腕に怪我をして手術しての状態だったのに全然何事もなかったように上手かったんで言われるまで気付きませんでした。









Of course, I took the end of pix, too.
もちろんクラスが終わってからの写真も撮りました。





Marco, he said he learned a lot with AE86 how important to be precise!
マルコ、彼は「正確に運転する事がいかに大切かと言う事をハチロクに乗ってみて学んだ」と言ってました。





Frosty, he said stuntman style side way and drift style side way is totally different. And hope that he could use both skills for his job. In addition to that, he has a drift project car...and said will be back with his car soon.
フロスティーはスタントマンが使う横の向き方と、ドリフターが使う横の向き方の違いを学んだようです。
両方の良いトコ取りで仕事が更に上手く行くと良いなぁと思ってます。
因みに、彼はドリフト用プロジェクトカーを持っていて、それを仕上げてドリフトの練習しに来るんだって。がんばってﾈ♪

I lagged big time again...
またさぼってしまった・・・。




A while ago, I got a turbo for my car...and needed to have some job done on the outlet & down pipe.
結構前に、私のコンペ車にターボが入ったんだけど、アウトレットとかダウンパイプとか切った貼ったしてもらわないと・・・って感じだったんだけど・・・。






Who is working on my car?? Long hair??? Looks like Taka, doesn't he?
私の車の作業をしてくれてる人誰でしょう？ロン毛な人で・・・たかさんっぽくない？

John from JSP. John has been doing fabrication jobs to major Drift team, Taka's car, and such.
And now my car. Thank you very much, John! His Fab. is real nice and clean! I love it.
ＪＳＰと言うショップを持ってるジョンでした～♪ジョンは有名ドリフト･チームとかたかさんのコンペ車とかの溶接加工などに携わってます。ジョン、ありがとーーーー！てか、仕事とか超綺麗だったりするので、お勧めなショップです。






And...bigger injectors were installed...
それで。。。サイズのでかいインジェクターも入れてみました。





This is the stock KA injectors just came off from the fuel rail...Dang, just look the same!
こっちがＫＡ24ＤＥって言う純正サイズのＳ14かＳ13に使われてるモノ。てか、見た目同じぢゃん。。。





Yoshie's S14...tried to see the A/F ratio and such @ Technosquare...but didn't get finished in the day.
よしえさんのＳ14。。。テクノスクエアのダイノで空燃費とか見ようと思ってたんだけど、その日には終わらなかった。（汗）





Still my car is not totally done, but it will be ready...I hope sometimes soon!
まだまだやらなきゃいけない事いっぱいあるけど・・・近々終わってくれると良いなぁと思ってます。
