Belated Megan Racing Booth @ SEMA Show (w/ Japanese Translation)

So...taka & me went to SEMA show again this year. Taka's competition AE86 was displayed @ Megan Racing Booth, so most of the time, we stayed there. And, all the pix I took were Megan Racing Booth thingy. haha
で。。。たかさんと私は今年もSEMAショーに行っちゃいました。たかさんのコンペハチロクが今年のスポンサーのメーガン･レーシングのブースに展示されてたので、殆どそこでうろうろしてたから・・・写真もメーガンレーシングのモノばっかになってしまった。（笑）





Taka's car was most visible place (I think), and Magan Racing made biggow posters above.
That was Calvin's (Owner of Megan Racing) idea to display the cars like that.
たかさんの車一番お客さんに目に付く場所（あくまでも個人の主観ですが。）に置いてもらえてました。しかも、でけーポスターが上のほうに。。。メーガンレーシングのオーナーのカルビンが車の配置とか考えてくれたようです。






A lot of people took pictures of Taka's rear bumper scratch...and LED equipped Red G Wheels!
たくさんの人が・・・たかさんのリアバンパーの傷の写真を取ってってました。350ｚに付いてるホイールはもうすぐ一般販売もされる（はず）レッドGホイールです。シンプルだけどなかなかイイ感じ。LEDも付いてキラキラ。





From other side...A lot of people loved V-LEDS products!
ブースの反対側。このLEDはV-LEDSの商品で、結構注目を浴びてました。





LEDs don't eat power too much, the lights connected to the car battery and worked for all day long. (At night, we recharged the battery.)
LEDってあんましパワーを食わないので一日中車のバッテリーに直結しても死ななかった。（夜は念のためバッテリーチャージしてたけどね。）

真ん中にあるスペックRS（伸び側縮み側、別々にいぢれるのぉ）っての欲しいんだけどなぁ・・・。

I tried so hard to take the cars without people...and Danny from Megan Racing somehow always got in the pix...O well. He looks so tired. hahaha
人がいっぱいいたのでなかなか車だけで写真とるタイミングがなかったんだけど・・・なーんか、メーガンレーシングの従業員のダニー君、私の取ろうとしてるタイミングにひょこひょこと入ってくる・・・。（汗）
でも、お疲れのよーだ。



Actually, Calvin took us nice dinner every night...and all of us gainned weight.

でもね、カルビンが毎晩豪華な晩御飯に連れて行ってくれたのだぁ♪♪♪
ついでに、みんな無駄なお肉が増えてましたが・・・。（汗）

Anywayz, without Megan Racing help this year, Taka couldn't survive...so Thank you so very much for supporting Taka...and hopefully we can keep the great relationship for a long time!
とにかく、今年メーガンレーシングがたかさんのサポートをしてくれなかったらイベントに行く事が出来なかったので本当に助かりました。ありがと～～～♪今後も長いお付き合いが出来たら良いなぁと思ってます。

Another Drift School Students: Drift 102 & Miss Formula D 2010 (w/ Japanese Translation)

So...We had other Drift School students. 2 students this time for Drift 101 & Drift 102.
で・・・またまたドリフト教室の生徒さんのお話。今回はドリフト101と102を取ってくれた２人です。






Marco from Brazil, he took 4-day lesson. Since I kinda sucky to take pix and videos, the starting view is missing...but that's Yoshie...and I am sorry. He initiated with 3rd gear and such. He is planning to compete in Brazil when they get some series events.
マルコはブラジルから来てくれました。彼はブラジルでプロレベルのドリフトコンペが出来た時の為にとクラスを取ってくれたようです。でもまぢで上手かった。ビデオ最初の加速してる部分ミスってるけど、まぁ・・・下手くそなのは毎度のことなので許してやってください。（笑）３速進入にも挑戦。







Frosty, he is a stuntman. Because of the job he involves, he was pretty busy in scheduling...and somehow managed to take days off to take our classes. He got some injury/surgery 8 weeks ago on his arm from the job but he was doing great so that we didn't know until he told us about that.
フロスティーはスタントマンをやっているそうです。仕事柄結構忙しくなかなかスケジュールに都合が付かないらしいんだけど何とかお休みを調整して受講してくれました。クラスが終わった後に聞いたんだけど、仕事で８週間くらい前に腕に怪我をして手術しての状態だったのに全然何事もなかったように上手かったんで言われるまで気付きませんでした。









Of course, I took the end of pix, too.
もちろんクラスが終わってからの写真も撮りました。





Marco, he said he learned a lot with AE86 how important to be precise!
マルコ、彼は「正確に運転する事がいかに大切かと言う事をハチロクに乗ってみて学んだ」と言ってました。





Frosty, he said stuntman style side way and drift style side way is totally different. And hope that he could use both skills for his job. In addition to that, he has a drift project car...and said will be back with his car soon.
フロスティーはスタントマンが使う横の向き方と、ドリフターが使う横の向き方の違いを学んだようです。
両方の良いトコ取りで仕事が更に上手く行くと良いなぁと思ってます。
因みに、彼はドリフト用プロジェクトカーを持っていて、それを仕上げてドリフトの練習しに来るんだって。がんばってﾈ♪

Yoshie's Competition S14 Updates (w/ Japanese Traslation)

I lagged big time again...
またさぼってしまった・・・。




A while ago, I got a turbo for my car...and needed to have some job done on the outlet & down pipe.
結構前に、私のコンペ車にターボが入ったんだけど、アウトレットとかダウンパイプとか切った貼ったしてもらわないと・・・って感じだったんだけど・・・。






Who is working on my car?? Long hair??? Looks like Taka, doesn't he?
私の車の作業をしてくれてる人誰でしょう？ロン毛な人で・・・たかさんっぽくない？





Hint #1: Not Asian...
ヒント１：アジア人ぢゃなくてぇ・・・

John from JSP. John has been doing fabrication jobs to major Drift team, Taka's car, and such.
And now my car. Thank you very much, John! His Fab. is real nice and clean! I love it.
ＪＳＰと言うショップを持ってるジョンでした～♪ジョンは有名ドリフト･チームとかたかさんのコンペ車とかの溶接加工などに携わってます。ジョン、ありがとーーーー！てか、仕事とか超綺麗だったりするので、お勧めなショップです。






And...bigger injectors were installed...
それで。。。サイズのでかいインジェクターも入れてみました。





This is the stock KA injectors just came off from the fuel rail...Dang, just look the same!
こっちがＫＡ24ＤＥって言う純正サイズのＳ14かＳ13に使われてるモノ。てか、見た目同じぢゃん。。。





Yoshie's S14...tried to see the A/F ratio and such @ Technosquare...but didn't get finished in the day.
よしえさんのＳ14。。。テクノスクエアのダイノで空燃費とか見ようと思ってたんだけど、その日には終わらなかった。（汗）





Still my car is not totally done, but it will be ready...I hope sometimes soon!
まだまだやらなきゃいけない事いっぱいあるけど・・・近々終わってくれると良いなぁと思ってます。

Drift School Student from Peru (w/ Japanese Translation)

So...DriftPRO also offers Private Lesson besides Drift 101/102 program.
Student, Carlos knew the concept on drifting already, so he decided to take Private Lesson.
で。。。ドリフトプロはドリフト１０１と１０２のプログラムだけでなく、個人レッスンも受け付けてます♪
今回の生徒さん、カルロス君はドリフト101レベルは終了していたレベルだったので、個人レッスンを受けたいとの事でした。


He flew from Peru for his business and took our class.
He found about our Drift School from internet search. Great find, Carlos!
カルロス君はペルーから出張で来たついでにクラスを取ってくれました。
ネットで検索しまくってここにたどり着いたようです。やるぢゃん、カルロス君！





Anyway,
とにかく・・・



He loved my s14 so much...and ended up trying to buy some s-chassis in Peru. Wow.
Ｓ１４超気に入ってくれました。それで、ペルーに戻ったらシルビア系の車を買うーって言ってました。結構本気モード。






In the end of the day, he was drifting with real challenging layout! Great Job, Carlos!
(We normally don't let students do this course layout!)
クラスの終わりに、チャレンジコースをドリフトしてました。やるぢゃん、カルロス君ｘ２！
（でも、こんなコースは普段走らせておりません。）






After the session. Carlos has real happy face finishing the lesson with Taka.
終わった後。カルロス君ナイススマイルでたかさんと２ショット。





He got feeling of both cars!
２台とも運転してみたので車の違いもつかみました。

Belated Formula D @ Irwindale After the Event Thingys (w/ Japanese Translation)

So...after the top 32 tandem, I was kinda walking around...
で、３２位の追走終わった後、とぼとぼと歩き回ってたら・・・


And, ended up stayed @ RS-R pit area.
ＲＳ－Ｒのピットに到着。

まぁ・・・誰かの真似してたんだけどさ、誰だと思う？

He was saying the glasses were too strong. O, ya.

Taka's practice and qualify day went smooth...He got qualified top 32 no problem.

I am not a morning person...Cyrus was holding me up-side-down...thanx.　
朝方人間ではないのに・・・サイラスに逆さづりにされてる私。。。そりゃどーも。




And, our team mate Hiro came to Irwindale to help Taka. Thank you very much, Hiro!

Anyway, Taka was against Aasbo...Toyota (one of the smallest?) vs. Toyota (one of the biggest?).
ま、とにかく・・・たかさんのお相手はオスボでした。トヨタ対決の巻き。（一番小さめと一番大きめ）

It is difficult to see in the video, but Aasbo misshifted @ bank initiation point.
Taka's follow line became a bit lower. If Taka had more power & torque...probably it didn't really matter!
ビデオではちょーっと見づらいけど、オスボが進入でミスシフトしたもんで、たかさんのラインがおっこっちゃいました。たかさんの車にパワーとトルクがあったら、そんなんあっても問題なかったんだろうなぁ。

Taka had a good run...except too wide on the inner clip...
You can't see from the video, but Taka's tow hook kinda stack to the wall, so he didn't have much choice to come back to the line on time. O well.
たかさん、結構いい感じで走ってたのに、最後のクリップ超外しちゃってたし。てか、結構良い感じで大外に来れたんだけど、牽引フックがまーまー飛び出しててそれが壁に刺さりながら、あらら～～～ぁって感じだったのでラインに戻ってこれませんでした。残念。



Anyway, he lost.　
そんなわけで、負けちゃいました。（涙）

Thinking about 4 cylinder engine @ 1600cc in Formula D is too weak compare to all others even though Taka's engine is really great compare to regular 1600cc engine...less power & torque, smoke, too quiet...whatsoever.
たかさんのエンジン、他の1600ｃｃのエンジンの中では超優れものなんだけど。。。やっぱ、フォーミュラＤの中では・・・たったの1600ｃｃの４シリンダーエンジンはお話にならないと思ってしまう。パワーもトルクも劣るし、煙はちーとも出ないし、ターボだから静かだし・・・。




Car needs to be more competitive next year.　
来年はもっと戦闘力のある車にしないとダメだねー。
