Taka's AE86 in progress @ M2 (w/ Japanese Translation)

So...Taka & me went to M2 on last Sat...to finish up his AE86.
で。。。たかさんと私は先週の土曜日にＭ２にハチロクの作業しに行ってきました。

Once front bumer is in...it looks so normal!
バンパー付いたら、全然ふつ～よね。

違う角度から。。。てか、この車の後ろにあるハチロク。。。パーツ取り車になってしまった・・・ちょっとの間だけど。







Then, before we went to M2 on Sun., we went to Richey's grave...somehow, the grave stone (?) wasn't installed YET!
日曜日、M2に行く前にリッチーさんのお墓に行ってきました。でも・・・まだ墓石がなかった。どーゆー事？？






While Taka was working on his car, I was plucking the stickers...Taking forever to finish!
たかさんが車の作業をしてる間、私はステッカーの作業してました。結構時間掛かるんだよな、これ。





The quantities are very limited, and these are NOT "GIVE AWAY" thingy.
そんなに数作ってないんだけど、これ売り物ね。





Still needs a bit of here and there...like alignment and such...but almost done!
まだもーちょっと細かいとこ・・・アライメントとかあるけど、まーまー終わりっぽい。




It was really hot @ City of Industry for both days...we were so tired from the heat.
シティー・オブ・インダストリー（地名）は２日とも超暑かった！！熱射病ぢゃないけど、ぐったりだった。

Taka's Rehab #2 (w/ Japanese Translation)

So...yesterday, Taka & me went to Richey's grave in the morning...it was for a Japanese Traditional Ceremony 49-day thingy. The weather was very nice, not like real August...
で。。。昨日、たかさんと私は午前中リッチーさんのお墓に行ってきました。４９日の法要でした。。。お天気は８月とは思えないほど気持ち良かった！

Anywayz, we went to M2 at night to see Taka's car. Some parts were installed back that were removed for going to the body shop...
とにかく・・・その日の夜、私たちはＭ２にたかさんの車の作業をしに行きました。ボディーショップに出す為に外したパーツなんかを元に戻すってな感じで・・・。






Wow, Great Job (not really), Yoshie...just installed lights w/ 6 nuts total. It took more time to find 6 nuts than installing the lights & center piece. haha　
すっげー、よしえさん（全然すごくないｮ）！テールライト付けちゃったよ。全部でナット６個しか使ってないけど。（笑）ライトとセンターピース付けるよりナット６個探す方が時間掛かったってどーゆー事？？






Hi Taka...how do you feel in your car again?? He looked nervous but excited at the same time.　
はぁ～い、たかさん・・・またハチロクに座った感想は？？何か、ドキドキわくわくって感じに見える。





Taka trying to step on the clutch...and realized a bit too early for him.　 (For real, the clutch pedal was heavy!!)　
たかさん、クラッチ切ろうとしたんだけど・・・やっぱちょっと早かったらしい。（てか、まぢで・・・クラッチペダル重かった！！）





While we were working on Taka's car, Naoki was making the design for Taka's Hero card.

まぁ、あまり自由度はないんだが・・・。（笑）

Gymkhana Event Check @ Main Day (w/ Japanese Translation)

So...Taka & me went to check out the Gymkhana event on Sun again.
で。。。たかさんと私は日曜日もジムカーナのイベント見に行ってきました。



We heard there were almost 90 drivers registered. That's A LOT of drivers!!
A lot of drivers seemed like only having 3-5 runs for a whole day.
何か９０台くらい走ってたらしい。かなり大人数だよね。
結局みんな１日中いて３～５本くらいしか走れなかったっぽい。






The graphic says "Going through w. 100% throttle" kinda thingy...how about when stopping?
「全壊全開で突進中！」と書いてあるけど、止まってる時は？？





We found Alex P...Taka trying to say Hi to him.
アレックスみっけー。たかさんアレックスに挨拶しに行こうとしてる。





Hi Alex! He is one of my few respectable drivers!
うぃ～～っす。アレックスは私の中で数少ない尊敬出来るドライバーの一人なのだ。



Other than Alex, our team mate Hiro was there driving. And...several other drifters & auto-xers that we know, too.
アレックス以外にも、うちのチームメイトのひろくんも走ってました。後、他のドリフターやオートクロス人も。。。ちらほらと。

The drivers were told...they needed to run fast but had to drift around the big yellow thingys. That's kinda difficult for FWD cars...?
どーもドライバー達は早く走らなきゃいけないけど、黄色い巨大物体の周りを通る時はドリフトしなきゃいけないとか言われてたらしい・・・。てか、それって・・・ＦＷＤの車には難しくないか？？

Gymkhana Event Check @ Media Day (w/ Japanese Translation)

So...Taka & me went to check out the Gymkhana event on last Sat @ Hollywood Park.
で。。。たかさんと私は先週の土曜日、ハリウッドパークで行われたジムカーナイベント（メディア・デー）に行ってきました。




There were only several cars...so seemed like a lot of seat time that day.
何か結構台数少なくて多分７～９台くらい？いっぱい走れそうな感じ。

お金持ちチームのブース？




AND, there were more drift cars than...other cars!?!?
それでもって、何か知らないけど、競技車より。。。ドリ車の方が多かった。

We were kinda stayed out for a bit long time, so...in the end of the day, Taka's leg was swollen.
その日はちょっと長めにお外ぶらぶらしてたもんだから、たかさんの足夜になったらちょっと腫れちゃってました。





All the adhesive tapes came off!

Taka's Rehab (w/ Japanese Translation)

So...it was passed 1 week from last Doctor's visit. Taka was told the adhesive tapes on the wound will be coming off about a week or so...and some of the tapes came off yesterday.
で。。。この前のお医者訪問から１週間が経ったんだけど、例の粘着テープ一週間くらいで剥がれるっての当たってた。昨日端っこがぺろんと剥がれてきたので一部取ったらしい。






I guess...there are pile of dead skin around the ex-covered area. The pic. kinda blurry...AGAIN.　
傷口の周りのテープで保護されてたところ。。。皮膚がかぴかぴ＆もこもこ。また写真ボケてるよ。。。



Well, for the people who have been feeling yucky to these pix...got used to them, right??
てか、写真見てｷﾓｯって思ってた人、そろそろ慣れたよね？？




A while ago, Mickey told Taka, "Yoshie's pix are terrible!"-ish thingy (in good way?). He thought all (most?) Japanese take great pix, but me...or something like that. It was soooo funny cuz it was so true and funny stereotype!!
ちょっと前に、ミッキーがたかさんに、「よしえの取る写真ってひどいよねぇ～（笑）。」みたいな事を言ったらしいんだけど、どーも彼は日本人は写真取るのが上手いと思ってたみたい。めちゃ笑った・・・だって写真ホントにひどいし・・・すげー日本人イメージだし。



(Or...not stereotype??)
（それか・・・ホントに日本人みんな写真取るの上手かったりする？？）


O, BTW...Mickey is a really nice & helpful person. He has been like that since we've met.
ん。。。ところで、ミッキーはホントに優しくて良い人なんだよ。知り合ったときからずっとそーだったし。

Here is update on Taka walking w/ clutches...he can put some body weight to the broken leg.

Taka's AE86 @ PAC Auto Body (w/ Japanese Translation)

So...on last Sat., Taka & me decided to go to the PAC Auto Body to see how his car is doing (?).
で・・・先週の土曜日に、たかさんと私はパック・オート・ボディーにたかさんの車どーなってんのかなぁと思って行ってみる事にしました。






Taka said, "Great to have an automatic car!"
たかさん、「オートマ便利で良いねぇ～♪」だとか・・・。





We arrived @ PAC Auto around 2:30pm, but the shop was already closed.
So we couldn't get to see his car. Instead, we saw the AE85 outside...
パック・オートに２時半くらいに着いたんだけど、残念ながら誰もいない・・・。既に閉まってたし。
だから、車見れなかったんだけど、その代わり例のハチゴーちゃんお外に止まってたの発見。

Later on Sat., Taka got informed he could take a look @ his car on Sun.
So...we went there again. This time, we could get to see his car!!
結局その後、日曜日に車を見せてもらえるって事で、日曜日リベンジ訪問。車いた！






The rear corner had a big dent...but it was fixed!

新品同然だよ～～♪








Some parts are still needed to be fixed & replaced @ Taka's AE86...and looks like our team mechanic, Robert will help to do so.
まぁ、それでも壊れちゃったパーツとか直したり交換しないとダメなんだけどね。
後日車が出てきたら、たかさんのメカニックをしてくれてるロバート 君がお手伝いしてくれるんだって。
