Formula D @ NJ: Day 3

Today was the final day for NJ event.


Taka's practice hour was in the first group starting from 8am...and Taka seemed like a bit more comfortable on the course!


Then...happening, again. His transmission this time. Taka started having difficulty to shift in the middle of the practice. He went back to the pit and decided to change the tranny oil for the temporarily for the qualify since he didn't have time to swap by the time qualify would start.




Anyhow, this was his qualified 1st run. I think the line was great for Corolla. He got 70.4 out of 100.

And...his 2nd run...I think Taka wanted to get close to the guardrail (AKA: higher bank). Unfortunately he hit it. :( It wasn't that bad, tho...He broke 1 of the rims, and dropped the rear bumper and both extensions. ;) Fortunately, his first run counted, so he made it to top 32!!






After the qualify...there were a lot of people visiting our pit area. Thank you for visiting! :)

Top 32...Taka vs. Dai. Taka luckily made it to top 16!! YAY. Taka @ after the tandem run. Were you tired of car breaking down on you?? Poor boy...

And just before the Top 16...I got bit by a wasp for 4 times!! It went inside of my pants (me not knowing), and...it happened. Darng, it was painful. :<

I kinda ran away from the spotter station and looked @ my leg...it already started swelling. I heard the wasp poison was kinda strong before, so I got scared what would happen. Anyway, all the people asked me, "Do you have an allergic reaction?"...this made me more scared!!



It was really nice of Amy, Joon Meang GF, that she ran and got a paramedic ran w/ her. Also Andy Luk was calling a paramedic for me! Thank you very much!! I am still alive because of you! <3


And in the end of the day, I got several alcohol wet thingy from Michell (sp?), Chirs F. Wifey, to clean up & get rid of poison from the bites. Thank you sooo much!



Because of this happening, I missed most of Taka's run w/ Pat!! Again, luckily...Taka made it to top 8!! Yay.

And...Taka vs Ken...Taka lost. :(




I am really sorry to the people who had contributed to Taka that he couldn't make it to the podium. Still there are 4 events left, so hopefully he can do better next time!



Thank you very much again for all the people who had contributed to Taka! Atlanta & NJ trips became very worthy for Taka!!
