New Parts & etc.

I just installed a new parts called IIC-460 to my 240sx.  This product is discontinued in this point, so I am lucky to have this!
IIC-460 is as Inteligent Ignition Controller 460...I am not sure what is 460 means, tho.

Anyhow, I soldered and set up half way yesterday.  I have to finish sometimes soon. =)

I felt my car was slow for some reason for a couple of events, so I did dyno it.  It seemed like OK when the car is cool enough.  When it gets hot, the power goes down somewhat.  I have to figure out what's wrong w/ it, too.

And we played a bit w/ boost at the same time.  Since I use 1-way valve as a boost controller (?), we added 1 more 1-way valve to it.  The original was 278hp w/ 12.5psi and after adding it was 326hp w/ 17psi.  Wow, but to be safe...just removed extra 1-way valve.  I am not ready to see the engine breaks YET!

Engine&AT, JDM snack, and the scoop on new E/G !!!

Today i pulled out the engine from my forever going
Cressida project because although i decided to
stay AT (like when this project started long long time ago...),
i now decided to swap to MT.  That's because a little while
ago, Taka helped me get the R154 tranny off a Supra in
a junk yard.  It should be more fun when this car is finished !

I ate this JDM snack for lunch.  This "Umai-bo" used to only
be sold at Nijiya and Marukai, but recently Mitsuwa also
started to carry it.  That makes me happy because Mitsuwa
is the closest JDM grocery store near my house.

And here's the big scoop on the new engine for the Falken /
Discount Tire IS350.  We finally got the engine from Hasselgren
and it's being dropped into the IS350 as I am writing this.
The engine looks crazy!!  I've never seen anything like it.
I just can't wait for the engine to start !!!

New Wheels ! New Engine !! The Interview !!!

Today i went to SPD Metal Works, the place where both
my Falken/Discount Tire IS350 and Taka's Falken AE86
is being worked on, to check out the new wheels for
the IS350 and the new engine for Taka's AE86 !!
Man, the IS350 looks sooooooo different with these new
wheels.  I did like the old wheels from Enkei, but these
new custom forged wheels from I-Forged makes the car
look so much more macho!  and i love it.
And as you can see from the pics, Taka's AE86 is gonna
get a lot more power.  I can't wait to see this crazy corolla
in action !

it's been so many years . . . .

i haven't even touched my tennis racket for years now...
but i played some tennis today.  i played in highschool
and college, so i used to be decent, but . . . . it's been
too long !
i've been playing a lot more golf than tennis these days,
but today i found out that tennis is a real good excercise.
i'm sure i burned off the big calories from yesterday's cakes!!
maybe i should play tennis more often (^_^)

memorial weekend . . .

Today is the sunday of the memorial weekend.
Since the weather is not so good, i decided to not work
on my cars (because if it rained, i didn't want to get wet
during wrenching... at least that's my excuse ^_^; )
and go out to get some JDM cake in Newport Beach.
It's a small patisserie called Cafe Blanc.  I guess
it's in Costa Mesa. (but Newport Beach sounds cooler...)
They have variety of JDM cakes and mouses, and some
italian gelato too.
But, anything JDM is of course expensive, so this might
just be my only meal (?) of the day !?
